Cosmetic Injectables Training for Dentists

Once the provenance of celebrities, Australia has seen an incredible rise in demand for cosmetic procedures from across society; with national spending reaching over $1 billion in 2020 alongside an estimated $40million on cosmetic dentistry procedures between 2014 and 2019. Although training in medical aesthetics may not seem an obvious choice for dentists, adding treatments such as Anti-Wrinkle Injections and dermal filler to your clinic will allow you to tap into the booming aesthetics market, which already sees an annual spend of more than £350 million on anti-wrinkle treatment alone.

Why Dentists should train in aesthetic injectables

We believe that dentists are uniquely placed for success both in aesthetics injectables training and within the medical aesthetics industry. This is because:

Dentists are trained injectors with daily experience of injecting sensitive areas.

Dentists have high levels of manual dexterity with fine instruments in limited spaces.

Dentists have an advanced knowledge of facial anatomy.

Dentists have an existing private client base already primed for aesthetic treatments through cosmetic dentistry.

Dentists have a perfect clinical space already set up.

Benefits

Training in medical aesthetics and adding injectable therapies such as Botox® and dermal fillers to your clinics’ range of treatments can come with a variety of benefits.

Expanding into aesthetic treatment encourages patient retention. Patients will return on a more frequent basis for repeat injections, remaining familiar and impressed with both clinic and practitioner.

Pairing aesthetic injectables with your existing skills in cosmetic dentistry can give your clients the option of a full smile makeover; with treatments for bruxism, gummy smiles, and smokers lines allowing you achieve incredible results.

Adding aesthetic injectables can give your clinic an edge by offering a wider treatment range than your competitors.

Offering aesthetic treatments can attract new clientele to your clinic, who may well then stay on as dental patients.

With new clients and expanded treatment options, your clinics’ income potential will be enhanced.
